Majestic 19 fret tenor banjo. 22" scale. It has a dent in the flange at the tailpiece (see photo). Looking at peghead critically the bass side seems to be slightly higher than the treble side but the fretboard is level. I don't know if it came from the factory that way or what. Otherwise a nice, very clean example of a higher end Majestic. Eight pearl inlay position markers and pearl inlaid peghead. Archtop. 26 brackets. Waverly tailpiece. Friction pegs. Neck straight with action at 1/8" at 12th fret; 5/32" at 15; and 3/16" at 17 with 1/2" bridge. Fret wear mostly in first position but still life in frets and no buzzing. Also some fretboard wear at frets two and three. Back of neck is mostly smooth but there are some indentations that you can feet with the palm of your hand. Neck and rim seem to be walnut and there is marquetry on the resonator back and side wall. Some fine scrapes on back of resonator that can be seen with sidelighting but no digs or loss of color. The neck is bound with side position markers. The bottom of resonator is also bound. Comes with an old brown hardshell case which is scarred and weathered but not falling apart and the interior is good to protect banjo and the latches work. Shipping at buyer's expense by an agreed upon carrier. Fed Ex usually costs about $50 for shipping in the east coast. Also, shipping only to lower 48 states. I am not equipped to ship overseas. I am selling banjo "as is" so please ask questions (my email listed below). I have not played this banjo except to check for action and buzzing and purchased it for a banjo maker research project (Gaetano Puntolillo) and because it was one of Puntolillo's better more expensive models.
