Few players and collectors are aware that Nechville not only makes Helimount banjos, but with the advent of Nechville's patented Flux Capacitor, Many of Nechville's most useful design considerations can be built into traditionally made Bluegrass banjo pots. If ordered as a custom banjo, such an instrument may carry a price as high as 6-10,000 dollars or more. A special opportunity has made this spectacular banjo available at an amazing price. The pot is a one piece flange replica of a pre-war Gibson flathead. with 3 ply maple rim, Antiqued Tennessee 20 Tone ring, First Quality components, originally put together in 2005 for Chuck Blake. The artistic neck and resonator were added this year by noted banjo luthier, Tom Nechville. The stable 3 piece laminated neck of walnut has an ornately carved heel, ivory color geared tuner buttons, fiddle peghead and ornate fine hand cut inlays including an inlaid truss rod cover. Solidly attached via Nechville's exclusive method, the neck is fully adjustable for any height bridge or action. The resonator is a work of art in itself, with ornate Florentine style Pearl and abalone inlay, Abalone binding stripes and Purfling, and intricately cut designs all around the outside of the resonator. The resonator was rescued from a shop in Texas and exhibits some slight surface blemishes, but could be re-finished upon request by seller. Rounding out the setup Nechville has included his in-line tailpiece, Compensated 3/4" Enterprise bridge, and Comfort bevel Cocobolo armrest. The value of the Nechville components alone is over $650. The whole banjo with medium strings and new Remo frosted head is only $2275 plus $68 shipping. Hardshell case included. You won't find more banjo for your money.
