Hi, Let me start by saying that I am not a banjo player. I am an estate buyer that has come across this banjo. I have done the best that I can to research it and describe it. I do offer a satisfaction guarantee and would be happy to refund the purchase if you are unsatisfied in any way. I do many transactions on EBAY with a good record under the seller name northshoresellingthings. In the process of researching the banjo, I came across this site and decided to give it a shot.
The banjo is in very good condition and appears to be original without repairs. It is in good playable condition with a straight and tight neck. It has matching serial numbers on the silver wrapped rim and center post. The serial number is 18387 which as near as I can tell, puts it in the 1886 to 1888 range.
Condition report is as follows
There is a minor chip at the base of the neck near where it attaches to the banjo. Does not affect playability and is purely cosmetic.
There is one piece of Mother Of Pearl inlay missing from the tuning area.
Please review the photos carefully and ask any questions you like. I am willing to ship anywhere at the expense of the buyer, there is no mark up. You choose the carrier and I will send it out.
Please include a phone number with any questions so I may contact you.
Thanks again for taking a look!
