This is a one piece flange pre war conversion that started as a Recording King tenor. This is the flat back reso model very similar to the Kalamazoo banjo. It has the later 30's one piece flange that is in very good condition, flat and very good plating. The rim is very clean except for two holes that were drilled by a previous owner to move the neck higher ,but does not affect the new neck in any way! I had Frank Neat turn the rim for a no hole Steve Ryan ring and the fit is very good! All the hardware on the pot is 30's Gibson! Pre war punched Presto tailpiece with a repair on the hanger bolt area, not broken but added for strength! I built the neck to look like the Kalamazoo model and cut pearl insted of silkscreen paint for the "Kalamazoo" font! Very nice old mahogany is the neck wood ,ebony board, simple dot inlays, spikes at 7&9. I have built 15 or more necks and have lots of good references if interested! Lots of banjo players have played on my necks and given me good feedback! Comes with original tenor neck This banjo plays very easily and it has a great sound! I will post some sound bites so you can hear it! Please call with any questions...... also my policy is you can try the banjo for 3 days and if you don't like it you just have to pay the return shipping! I can also e-mail more photo's if you want to look closer at any parts Thanks Rock from Kalamazoo
