Hi, and Thanks for looking at my Ad. This banjo is made of all new parts. The rim had some marks on it that I touched up a bit. It has a beautiful inlayed neck with a carved heel. The banjo has a Maple rim, I think, and steel tone ring. The pot is light weight, but really sounds good. In fact, I was amazed at how good it sounded when I first strung it up. It is set up with a Gold Tone Straight-line tailpiece, dual coordinator rods, heavy 24 notched tension hoop, geared tuners all around, Remo Weatherking Head and beautiful engraved 2 post Arm Rest. Of course it comes my own Spillway Dam Douglas Fir Banjo Bridge, that really sounds good on it. Also comes with a new case. Full disclosure, as I don't want any misunderstands, the tone rings don't fit the rims perfectly. They have an air gap between the rim and ring all the way around. It looks like they were designed that way. The gap is closer in some areas, than others. It looks like the system Bill Palmer came up with, when he cut a little off the inside of the rims on his modifications. The good news is, the head pulled down even and tight, and tapped the same all the way around. This banjo has such a good sound, I didn't want to mess with it and try to get the gap the same. I'm a firm believer in "if it works, don't fix it". This banjo weighs about 7 pounds, on my bathroom scales, and has the standard length 22 fretboard, total length is 37 1/2 inches, and has the standard 11 inch pot on it. If you are looking for an excellent sounding Banjo that you can play either way, Open Back or with the Resonator on, that won't break your back, or pocketbook, then this one may be for you. I put some Very Powerful Neodyminum Magnets in wood blocks, inside the resonator, that match up to washers attached to the banjo pot. This allows you to easily remove, or install the resonator, without any tools, to switch from open back, to resonator banjo. WARNING--- The information that came with the Magnets stated, " Never allow Neodymium Magnets near a person with a Pacemaker, or similar medical device. The strong magnetic fields of the magnets , can affect the operation of such devices." So if you have a Pacemaker, this might not be the banjo for you. The Banjo is set up well, and plays like butter. It is loud enough for Jams, but still has a sweet tone to it. I accept Paypal, Check, or Money Order, and expect payment within a few days, or if you need to use another form of payment, contact me, and we'll see if we can work something out. I will ship, well packed, to the lower 48 states for a flat fee of $35, including insurance. Thanks for looking, and Happy Pickin'..
