This is a really nice old banjo, the head is just shy of 11 inches. The Tubaphone tone ring gives it plenty of volume and a deep ringing bell like sustain. The maple neck was made by Wyatt Fawley and is an accurate reproduction of an original. It has some fretwear on the first few frets but does not buzz or play out of tune. The pot was probably made between 1917 and 1924, it looks really good for its age. It's set up with a fyberkin head and a moon bridge at the moment. Some idiot (okay it was me) wrote a couple tunings on the back of the head with a marker. I'd really like to trade this for a banjo with a 12 inch thin maple rim and a brass hoop tone ring. I'm not looking for a long neck or an a scale banjo. I'm not a big fan of exotic woods or fancy inlays. I'm also interested in finger style banjo and would trade for an early Gibson RB100 or RB150 with the original tone ring or maybe even an unconverted tb100 if it was a nice enough early one. Thanks!
