This is a Deering Goodtime prototype. I purchased this banjo 2 years ago from a luthier in Bloomington, Il who had it in his possession for about 9 years. So it is about 11 years old. As you can see from the pictures the inlay on the neck is much different and resembles a maple blossom. It has the older guitar tuners and is signed by Greg and Janet Deering on one side and Carolina Bridges on the other. The other unique feature is that it has an 11/16 bridge. The neck is straight and the back has a beautiful pattern in the wood. This banjo is incredibly easy to play and has a wonderful tone. Please contact me if you have any questions.
