long neck, set up with nylon strings...all gold painted parts removed from Woodsongs banjo and replaced with nickel from Deering(rim) and Stewmac(5 star arm rest/Kirshner style t/p)...black head replaced with white frosted.
the 5th string spike/bridge is replaced with a 1/8" nut and a 5th string capo is installed. The stretching of the nylon 5th string and the peg nut requires the 5th string to be slipped out of the nut and let rest against the peg on the fret...going flat, it sharpens up to pitch when the capo is lowered.
To go back to steel strings would surely require a new nut as the slots are cut for the nylon.
The bracket hooks and nuts are replaced with hooks from Stewmac and closed end 9/32 nuts from Bill Rickard.
Original Deering case in included but the strap is not.
the long scale requires a 3/4 bridge and capo position near the fret...there is no buzzing and the action is very soft. Action and tone without a capo is excellent with a warm woody sound, great for vocals
