This is a brand new Gourdgeous gourd banjo handcrafted by Robert Browder in the Blue Ridge of Old Virginia. It features a one piece, fretless curly maple neck. The gourd is 9 and 1/2 inches across, features a cow hide head and has an f style sound hole on each side. The banjo features hand fitted rosewood friction pegs that stay put. It stays in tune good. This instrument features a scale length that is 24 and 1/8 inches from nut to bridge. Tuned to standard G with a set of hard tension nylon strings. Get a Gourdgeous for the thumpy-est of all tones.
