This is a banjo that I made for Maple Leaf Music in Vermont. While doing the pre-shipping stress tests on the banjo, the truss rod broke (bad weld). I removed the fingerboard and replaced the truss rod, then glued the fingerboard back on. During the removal of the fingerboard a hairline crack formed by the 5th string peg on the maple neck. I have repaired the crack and the fingerboard went back on perfectly, but since the crack is visible I'm starting a new banjo for Maple Leaf and selling this at a discount. Banjo actually sounds better after the repair. This banjo as well as all of my banjos, has a lifetime warranty.
