This is a banjo I built from Stew-Mac and First Quality Music parts. The pot is a Stewart McDonald Whyte Ladie tone fitted on their maple rim, along with hooks and nuts. Presto style tailpiece. The neck is a stage 4, mild curly maple, ebony fingerboard, from First Quality. I don't build banjos for a living, so there are a few rough spots on this piece(I'm overly critical of my own work!). But she plays well and is loud. I play Scruggs style on it and probably keep the head too tight for old time music. This would make a very good second banjo for someone. Currently, I don't have a case for it but will provide a soft shell case suitable for shipping.
