i had full intentions on keeping this banjo for life but for some goofy reason i have decided to part with it...but at this moment it is for sale or trade..yes!! this is a banjo you will only see maybe once in a lifetime comeup for sale!..it is a 1979 liberty prominade serial number 1003p and as you can see is in super nice condition for its age....there is hardly any fret wear nor gold plate wear..its a little dusty but nothing a good cleaning wouldnt take care of..the walnut wood and finish is also in very nice condition....this comes with a great compilation of liberty information including the original sales slip from when it was bought new!...selling for $2200 in 1979 and as you can see in the picture it comes with a letter from bob flesher indicating its value at $6000 to $8000 in 2008 ...and this is 5 years later and we know it has gained considerably in value since then....i know its a little pricy but banjos like this are!....i would consider trades on upper end gibson/yates/etc. banjos and guitars such as martin/lucas/merril/etc. or possibly trades on a nice gibson mandolin? so if you have any questions feel free to ask,thanks
