I've been a guitar player for over fifty years but I thought I'd like to learn to play the banjo.... I mean, how hard could it be? So I bought a really good banjo (that way I couldn't blame the instrument). It soon became clear that it would take considerably more time than I could commit. I also realizedhow much I enjoyed playing the guitar. If I have any "extra time" I now think I would rather spend it becoming a better guitar player.
This is a gorgeous Stelling Staghorn, if you're a player you know this banjo. It's about 20 years old and is in amazing condition. I bought it because Stelling is a Virginia company and frankly....... it's the best. The purfling and marquetry remind me of a D-45. The price is $3,675.00. That's what I paid for the Staghorn plus the shipping. The new owner will pay actual shipping and insurance.
