1927 Gibson Granada for sale. Incredible prewar Granada, as powerful as it gets, this banjo has a tube and plate flange, rosewood Arthur Hatfield matching hearts and flowers conversion neck, it also has the original tenor neck and a no-hole conversion (possibly Ryan) tone ring (original ring not available). Beautiful tiger maple resonator and neck, ALL parts on the banjo ARE prewar and original. Serial # 8661-9, this instrument was refinished last year by Vinnie Mondalo, an expert luthier in Texas, and the metal parts, except for the tuners, were replated. However, the metal is starting to turn just a little and is beginning to take on that prewar patina that looks so cool. The original armrest is the two-piece model with the rolled/tucked under edge. The sound and playability is nothing short of amazing.....very deep and powerful (just ask Arthur), yet mellow...but clear all the way up the board. This banjo is capable of taking as much power as you can give it and then asks you for more. It is indeed to most banjo-for-the-buck that I have ever owned. Because it was refinished, I was able to buy it at a reasonable price and will pass this savings along to the next owner. Also comes with the original tenor case, a newer hardshell 5-string case, and as with all my other banjos, I will give the new owner a 48 hour inspection period. If you don't like the banjo, send it back like you received it and I'll refund 100% of your money, less my actual out of pocket shipping costs. This is a really great old original Prewar Gibson Granada that is a professional grade instrument in every respect. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos and I'll be happy to provide. Thank you for your interest. Allen
