Up for sale is my Gibson 49 Classic. I purchased this banjo with a broken neck. The headstock had completely separated from the neck. Never a fan of the 49 Classic inlay pattern, (H&F peghead & bowtie neck), I had a new neck made by First Quality with the Granada style Hearts & Flower pattern in a rosewood fingerboard. The pot and resonator are original 49 Classic components except after I polished the parts I installed a "new" Pre EPA Weather King head. I've had the head for about 25 years and this is the first time it's been installed on any banjo. The original neck had a Shubb capo installed and it’s included should you want to install it. The holes have not been drilled for the capo and spikes are installed on the 7th, 9th, 10th fret. I did install a pre EPA head and a Snuffy Smith bridge. It has been played very little and there is no fret wear. Also, there are no belt marks on the back of the resonator. The metal parts are in great shape with the exception of a little tarnish on the armrest. Reasonable offers considered.
