I have had this banjo for a couple of years now. It is very nice. It started life with me when I bought it as an RB 100 off of Ebay. It didn't take me long to realize that I didn't have a very good banjo. Tone hoop, dot inlays, etc. I decided to invest some money in it and make it a serious banjo. I took it to Arthur Hatfield and after him educating me on what I had and what my options were I asked him to make it a nice banjo. I wanted a maple neck with flying eagle pattern and he used the metal parts from the original banjo and resonator, new tuner's and his tonering and cox rim as the rim was not one of the good ones on my banjo. It was painted black if that tells you anything. Of course he built the neck which I know many on Banjo Hangout know he does great work so it is a very nice banjo with no serious issues. I took it to First Quality about two months ago and they dressed the frets and put a new head on, other than that, it's the way I got it from Arthur minus his bridge. I asked him for Crow spacing but I later changed to regular spacing so I changed the bridge. I have a Huber on it right now and will send a couple more to the buyer so you can go with your favorite.
