Estate found banjo. The neck and pot are mismatched. The neck is a Vega Fairbanks "Imperial" "Electric" plectrum neck serial number 48618. The pot is a Tubaphone pot serial number 78863 . I think that would be 1922 for the neck and 1927 for the pot. It has some other unusual features... The tuners look to be original 1920's Planet tuners. It has an unusual 4 string straight pull bridge engraved A Krueger and it appears to be a real good quality tailpiece. There is an additional tailpiece and some kind of mute. I put strings on the banjo and it plays and sounds really good just as it is (if you like plectrum banjos). The resonator is pretty beat up. The neck plays very well but has crazing on it, some cracks in the fingerboard and other flaws. The pot and all hardware are in very good condition. It has an arm rest. All hardware looks original except two bracket hook nuts. It has a Jos Rogers skin head that seems to be in very good condition. The case is shot.
