1925 Gibson TB-3
This was the first year of the Mastertone. A couple of the unique features for this particular year are the holes in the outer skirt of the tone ring, and also "Mastertone" being on the peghead instead of the fingerboard.
Also, notice the shading on the back of the neck. I've never encountered one like this, and it doesn't appear to me to be refinished. No repairs done either. The coloring closely resembles some of the Recording King banjos from the 1930s. Outside of the Fiberskyn head and armrest, I believe the banjo is original.
NOTE: There is one tension hook missing in the pics. That has since been replaced with an original.
$1995 (obo) + shipping. Original tenor case included.
