This is an older Gold Tone CC-100+ open back banjo. IMO much better looking that the current CC-100 offering.
Asking $350
The "Plus" model from Gold tone came with:
Brass Hoop tone ring
Maple Neck - dark stain
Maple Pot - dark stain
GT-Master Planet planetary tuners
Wrench for the nut hooks
It's been tinkered with and upgraded over the years with:
Remo Renaissance head
No-Knot tailpiece
Vega style armrest
Martin Medium Nickle wound strings
I'll also include:
Wrench for the nut hooks
Two fingerpicks and a thumbpick
* this banjo has NO gig bag *
There is some nice subtle maple striping on the peghead.
The fret markers are a snowflake inlay.
All the chrome is in great shape. The banjo has been very well taken care of.
The action is low and very easy to play with a 5/8 bridge. The neck is straight.
It has a very nice mellow plunky tone with the brass tone ring and the medium gauge strings.
This is easily as nice a banjo as you can find for the price and I enjoyed learning on it.
The MSRP on these is currently $678.
Asking $350 + actual shipping cost.
There are more pictures on my homepage on the hangout.
I'm Looking for an interesting guitar, and I would pay a little extra in addition to the banjo itself for the right inexpensive Martin, Seagull folk, etc.
