This beauty is a custom Calico was custom made with the original design of light, blond wood, which Deering discontinued in 2004 because of the reduced availability of finer woods. Often called one of the most beautiful banjos ever made.
Purchased in 2005, this item has been stored at a steady temperature, only traveled via car a handful of times, and has been little played, though well maintained all this time. Thus, the neck is straight (problem with many used banjos) and the sound is just right.
Comes with a Deering hardshell leather case.
