This banjo was built with old and new parts.

Old Bell brass arch top tone ring. The plating is missing in a few little spots but has no dinks. the sound clear with a great tone.
New Nickle plated brass tension hoop, shoes, hooks, bolts and nuts from Rickard banjos.
New Planetary style Gotoh tuners including geared fifth tuner.
Chrome plated bronze armrest.
Feilding tailpiece.
Remo weather King 11 inches, High crown frosted top head.
The neck is not new but has no wear at all. It needed some repairs on the heel and on the ebony fretboard and headplate that had Old and stabelized small cracks. I enlarged the cracks with a chisel before to fill them up with a mix of Epoxy and ebony dust. it will not crack again. The inlays are fantastic, the neck is made of hard maple with fine laminations of maple and Ebony. Heel cap and truss rod cover are also ebony.
Neck is 1 1/4 inch at the nut ( bone nut with a abalone dot) and 1 7/8 inch at the heel, scale is 26 3/8 inches, 18 frets and a fraling platform not grooved so additional frets can be added. Action is set at 2,8 mm with a 11/16 inch bridge. It can be set at 2,3 with a 5/8 bridge without any modifications or buzz.
Banjo weight is 8,3 pounds
