I have here a mint condition Deering Goodtime 2 Maple that I bought down at a local music shop two days ago. I bought it on impulse just wanting another banjo, but then regreted it soon after because that I play clawhammer. I paid $500 for the banjo by itself, then bought an aftermarket TKL deluxe arch top hardshell case with it (still has the tags on it) for $110, and a $40 5th string capo. It has not a single ding on it anywhere. It was set up at time of purchase, and sounds pretty good, but it just isn't the sound i'm used to. I have pictures posted, and if you need more I will do so. My impulse decision is your gain. Seeing that you can never sell things for what you paid for them, I have it priced very fair.
I am willing to trade it for a good openback.
