I'm offering this 1926 Gibson TB-1 conversion for sale. Arthur Hatfield did the conversion work, including building the mahogany neck with flying eagle inlay. The rim has been turned for a Huber Vintage nickel plated ring and a 1 pc flange. All hardware was replaced as part of the conversion. 11/16" Scorpion bridge, Gotoh tuners, AMB head and /.010/.011/.012/.020JD/.010 AMB cryo strings.
The sound is fantastic - a very woody, vintage sound as you'd expect with the old wood rim and resonator. The current setup gives great projection and power with good bass and response in every register. This banjo has been excellent for both jamming and band work and mics quite well. I regret putting this banjo up for sale, but the tax man cometh and I need to replenish the coffers. Guardian hard shell case in mint condition included as is the Dogwood Designs strap shown in the photos. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and I'll pack it extremely well and ship by the carrier of your choice. Interested parties are welcome to check the banjo out in person if you're anywhere near central North Carolina.
