I put this banjo up for sale a year or two ago and then decided to hold on to it hoping I would get to play it. But time has not worked out so well with the economy where it is. I have not even touched the case since that time other than to vacumn around and under it.
One of the buyers asked me for closer pics of the laminating on the rim as he thought it might need re-clamping...so I am including a closeup shot of that part. I will be glad to send a higher res pic of it if any serious buyer wants to see it.
I have purchased a few banjos, including a recording king, gold tone, deering, and this gold star which I got from a friend who inherited it, is the best sounding banjo I have ever played. I am not a professional and in fact am a pretty terrible player for the amount of time I have had banjos. But time is not my friend and I do not forsee finding time in the foreseeable future.
I do not know how much it costs to send this UPS but I do know that shipping artwork is close to what I am charging and the artwork is much lighter. I am figuring about $100 for the shipping with insurances.
I have extra sets of strings and it comes with a new soft-shelled case. It has spikes on frets 7 and 9.
