Want to trade a 2001 Ford Focus for gear and/or cash. Car has 128K miles and was in excellent running condition until the starter failed.
The starter is a cheap part and wouldn't cost much to fix at a shop.
The Blue Book value (with, of course, the replaced starter) is $3400, give or take a few dollars. I'm asking $2500 as an outright sale price.
TRADES: TENOR banjos (like GoldTone, Deering Boston), acoustic or acoustic/electric guitars (Taylor 3- or 4- series, USA Martin [no HPL or composite] or similar.
Will also consider trades for electric guitars and/or amps.
Basically, I need good gear, as I am playing regularly again. I can't afford a second car and don't have the cash right now to have a shop fix the starter.
Someone who can make the right deal can get a car that's great on gas and is in excellent shape for MUCH less than a dealer's used prices.
I know somebody needs a good car (for your kid at college, etc) but can't afford an all-cash purchase. Let's get creative!
