This Tubaphone pot married to a GoldTone OT 800 longneck is tuned 1 1/2 steps lower than the "normal" G tuning to increase singing keys. A great folk style banjo, it was the instrument of choice for a generation of folksingers. The neck's engraved inlay is set off by the ebony fingerboard and the pot is a classic 1925 Vega, Style M, 11 13/16" Tubaphone pot complete with the original Tubaphone tone ring, a bracket band for a loud sustaining tone, a frosted head, 30 nickel plated tension hooks and nuts and notched tension hoop. Comes in a hard used, hard case.
