Very nice condition, with usual wear for age.
This is a Vega plectrum banjo c.1910 with it's original neck and currently fitted with a 5 string neck conversion, made by the late Frank Butten of Taunton, Somerset.
Beautiful tone, lovely to play. The name 'Bud Kramer 1942' appears in a couple of places on the instrument and I wonder what stories it would tell if it could talk.
'Pie' resonator, beautiful grain figuring, particularly on the resonator side wall.
Currently set up for bluegrass.
Comes with original case.
Shame to see it go but I can't play more than one banjo at a time so would like this to go to a good home.
