IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BANJO PLAYER, YOU HAVE HEARD OF NECHVILLE BANJOS. It's no wonder that such incredibly revolutionary banjos are the choice of Grammy Award Banjo Players such as Alison Brown, Bela Fleck and Emily Robison of the Dixie Chicks. I am a Banjo Player myself and just love these Banjos for their tone, playability and cool looks, not to mention the fact that they are not as heavy as traditional Banjos. If you would like to see it and hear it live on Skype, that can be arranged. Just send me an email and we'll do it! Up for sale this unique, beautiful and great sounding Nechville Phantom. Tom Nechville has been busy lately, in fact for the past 25 years. In the mid 1980's Tom ventured out on his own as a manufacturer's rep, developing the relationships and know-how that led him to that "aha" moment when he conceived the design of the Heli-Mount banjo. In order to celebrate these 25 years of banjo history, Tom has decided to put together all the most requested banjo ingredients for the benefit of 25 lucky players. With over 30 years of hands-on banjo building experience, Tom has designed his own ultimate banjo, and is sharing this limited edition: the Nechville XXV. The XXV will be a model of ergonomic, acoustical and aesthetic engineering unparalleled in the banjo world. Each component of the XXV is shaped by Tom’s sense of optimal design. The XXV is a Phantom modified with select figured maple, mahogany and cocobolo for structure, stability and beauty. As with all Phantoms (www.nechville.com/phantom.php), the XXV will feature a tunneled fifth string and compound radiused fingerboard. Tom has chosen a natural antiqued maple finish with the most durable clearcoat. Tom is delivering more high fidelity sound with less weight with his new Timbr-Tronic cocobolo tone ring, and helically mounted Renaissance head: a unique way of highlighting the cocobolo wood under the translucent head, enhancing tone. But it is the surprising yet subtle details that put the XXV in a class of its own. A mini rolling 5th string nut ensures smooth tuning on the fifth string. The elegant offset dot position markers give it a distinctive look all its own. Diversity of cocobolo's grain highlights the uniqueness of every single banjo, and the patented features of Nechville's Heli-Mount and quick-cam adjustable neck attachment are bonuses found on every Nechville. But the XXV will go a step further adding the gorgeous and durable bronze metallic Coco-Tone powder-coat to the frame for an irresistible look. No more than 25 of these limited edition Phantoms will be made. First come, first served.
