Pre-war Gibson Kel Kroydon KK-11 Conversion
This fine banjo features a Frank Neat mahogany 'speed' neck with 'Wade Mainer style' inlay pattern on a rosewood board. It also has a Mastertone block, unlike Wade's original banjo. The rim has been cut, and currently has a Tennessee 20 tone ring installed. The rest of the banjo, to the best of my knowledge, is all original with the exception of two L brackets screws. It has a slight pull on the one-piece flange, which is very common. No cracks or breaks. The banjo also has Keith D tuners installed on the 2nd and 3rd string with amber buttons. Fifth string capo spikes are installed at 7-9.
Pics show a prewar Presto un-punched tailpiece. The banjo now has the correct Grover Patent window-style tailpiece. I will update the pics soon. I also have a sound file that I can email.
