Offering for sale a nice 5-string conversion banjo by luthier Carl Arcand of Second Life Banjos. The 11-1/2" spunover rim appears to be taken from an old Rettberg & Lange banjo and uses a fancy grooved tension hoop. The raw brass rim features 30 matching hooks and brackets and is in very good shape for its' age though, cosmetically, the pot has sustained some areas of minute dimples in the distant past. The new reinforced walnut neck includes an S-scooped fretboard with dot position markers and a Dobson-style heel. Hardware includes a raw brass Rickard no-knot tailpiece and matching Gotoh tuners. Set up with a 5/8" raised 5th string bridge, steel strings, and a skin head. The 25-1/2" scale length along with a 1-3/8" neck width at the nut makes for a comfortable, easy to play and great sounding banjo. Will ship in a nice Deering padded gig bag.
