More pics available on my homepage! I'm selling my trusty Bishline Midnight Moon. It's been my main gigging banjo for about 5 years. It's an all maple banjo with a TP Schaeffer rim and (I believe) a Bishline tone ring. Currently outfitted with a Sullivan bridge and a renaissance head. Spikes at 7 and 9. I had a buyer who changed his mind due to not being a fan of the Ren head sound, so I'm relisting it. I just had the frets dressed and a new nut put on to narrow the string spacing a tad. This is definitely an improvement in my book (it eliminated an occasional problem with the 1st string sliding off the fretboard) but I'll include the old nut if you want to go back to the slightly wider spacing. I also had a 5th string nut installed to replace the original 5th fret railroad spike. All of the work on the banjo has been done by respected luthier Bruce Taggart. Known issues: Very small, shallow scratch in resonator (see pic). 5th tuning button is a little loose, but doesn't slip at all (an easy fix, according to the folks in the setup and repair forum). Some of the hooks have some rust (a couple fairly extensively), and there is a bit of corrosion on the flange in one area down around the tailpiece. I just polished the metal to get it in as good a shape as I could. There's no impact on playability or functionality. Beautiful, beautiful banjo. I just need money right now more than a pretty banjo! Bishline's necks are a tad wide from left to right and pretty thin from top to bottom, and I think it feels lightning fast. I think the setup I have on it now works well for my taste, but you could brighten it up with a remo head if you wanted to. Comes with a very sturdy (and heavy) Bishline case. Note: pickups and tuner not included.
