This is a Gold Star Gf-85. Nice sounding bluegrass banjo with a lot of pop and a lot of variation in tone across the length of the head. Basically a masterclone.
I've upgraded it from the relatively crappy tuners it came with to Gotoh tuners for all 5 strings.
In very good shape. No buckle rash or metal tarnish. Would make a great backup/campfire/festival banjo, and is plenty good enough to be a gigging stage banjo. Tailpiece cover is missing, but that's just cosmetic, and it's a matter of taste whether it looks better with or without.
Right now I"m selling both of my banjos, and whichever sells first, I'm gonna keep the other one. So I'm not gonna be too sad if this ends up being my keeper, if that tells you anything.
Note: Pickups, tuner, and strap are not included.
