Originally the instrument was a 1927 Vega, SN 57572 found on the pot and dowel, Style F, Tenor banjo with a10-5/8" frosted head, tortoise plastic bound maple rim, maple neck, 17 fret pear wood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, Replica "No Knot" tailpiece, mechanical friction pegs with ivoroid buttons, newer 5th string tuner, 1-5/32" nut, ~19-7/8" scale,
In its present form it has undergone a conversion to the 5 string that you see in the pictures. The neck is similar to the tenor neck with the exception of the 5th string,the number of frets, the 21" scale and different style inlay.
This sale includes both necks, the resonator that is pictured with its mounting hardware, and a gig bag.
