Gibson RB12, purchased new in September, 2000.
Is set up with original Kulesh Tone Ring + a Sullivan FF rim. (see photo)
Original rim comes with the banjo. It will have to be shipped in a separate container.
1 flange hole is stripped, has a nut on underside of flange, installed by Charlie Cushman.
Wood is in very good condition, resonator has 5 small scratches, none penetrate the finish, but they are visible if you reflect light on it.
Neck once had a shubb capo, which leaves tiny holes when removed.
Grover tailpiece, top cover is missing.
9th fret spike is pulled out. It was broken, but not flush. I was able to pull it straight out with a fret puller.
Armest has some worn finish, (see photo).
Inside of resonator is bowl shaped.
Resonator is solid walnut, inside resonator is autograhed by Earl Scruggs.
Awesome sound, radiused fingerboard, stainless steel frets, 1-12. Very playable.
It is solid and heavy, with the sound one would expect from a walnut top tension.
Minor issues aside, this is a whole lot of banjo for the money.
