This is a Deering Crossfire electric banjo. It’s been sitting in a case unplayed for the last 10 years. I bought and used it in the nineties with my band. The banjo is in very good condition (a few very minor scratches and tiny ding) and have never had any problems whatsoever with the banjo. The action is set pretty low and it plays beautifully.
I’ve replaced the pickups with a very nice sweet sounding pair of emg pickups. They can crank it up if you need to, but still produce a banjo sound. The banjo has separate tone and volume knobs along with a 3 way pickup selector for the installed emg pickups. I also have a strap-lok system installed on the banjo (good strap included) which makes it very secure and easy to put on (see pic).
