This is a great banjo and in absolute mint condition. It has a very warm sweet sound but can project as well. It’s very light, easy on the back and plays well. Not a scratch or smudge on it. I purchased it new eight months ago and it has very little playing time on it. I have to part with one of my banjos and unfortunately this one has to go. My loss is your gain. If you are looking for a light warm ,woody sounding banjo, look no further. The selling price on these new is $4200 plus tax. This banjo is as close to brand new as is possible for $3500 (or will consider best reasonable offer). I have it set up with a shubb bridge currently, but will also send along the original bridge as well. Comes with the original very nice hardshell case. To hear me play it, go to my webpage at:

Here are a few more specs below:
Walnut neck and resonator, Ebony fingerboard, Star pattern inlay
Two-piece resonator flange ,"The Hopkins" headpiece inlay
Double action truss rod , Chrome-plated metal parts
Waverly two-band tuners, Kerschner Tail Piece
This very special banjo has a two-piece resonator flange that permits the player to remove the resonator and flange and use the instrument as an open back banjo for clawhammer playing.
The Woodie has no tone ring. Instead, it has a special "Woodie" Tony pass rim that is constructed so that the banjo has a tone very similar to our banjos with a tone ring, but without the additional weight of the tone ring. The volume and power are also very similar to our traditional banjos.
Its relatively light weight makes this model the preferred instrument for players with back problems.
