i had full intentions on keeping this banjo for life but for some goofy reason i have decided to part with it...but at this moment it is for sale or trade..yes!! this is a banjo you will only see maybe once in a lifetime comeup for sale!..it is a 1979 liberty prominade serial number 1003p and as you can see is one awesome looking banjo and boy does this thing sound good!!....sometime in its life wyatt fawley built the replacement replica neck that is currently on the banjo for the original neck had a problem that apparently was not repairable and i want to say that this has greatly improved this banjo for this neck has an adjustable truss rod (at heel) where the original neck didnt have an adjustable truss rod......there is hardly any fret wear nor gold plate wear..its a little dusty but nothing a good cleaning wouldnt take care of..the walnut wood and finish is also in very nice condition....this comes with a great compilation of liberty information including the original sales slip from when it was bought new!...selling for $2200 in 1979 and as you can see in the picture it comes with a letter from bob flesher indicating its value at $6000 to $8000 in 2008 ...and this is 5 years later and we know it has gained considerably in value since then....i know its a little pricy but banjos like this are!....i would consider trades on upper end gibson/yates/etc. banjos and guitars such as martin/lucas/merril/etc. or possibly trades on a nice gibson mandolin? so if you have any questions feel free to ask, thanks
