Vintage MIJ (NOT the cheap pac-rim models being currently produced--this is one of the "Masterclones") Saga Style I: 20-hole flathead tone ring, tube flange, waverly tuners, moon bridge...loud and heavy. Saga was one of the original copyists of the Gibson banjos--which they copied faithfully. Saga made several high-quality models of this vintage: Style I, Bella Voce, and Florentine. The Style I is a faithful reproduction of the RB-250 (bowtie inlay). A fine instrument perfectly suitable for pro performing/recording comparable to Gold Star banjos today. This banjo retailed for $495 in 1979, and is in near-mint condition.
