Huber VRB-75 Truetone for sale. Serial number 810-50, it is my understanding that it was the first Truetone to sell at 2010 IBMA. I acquired it in December 2010 and it has "Eng. Rim No. 4" stamped in the rim thuis making it only the 4th engineered rim offered by Huber (this was before the "Truetone Stamp" used in his banjos today) . It has, of course, the incredible HR-30 flathead tone ring, amber Tulip tuners, and retro 1941 RB-75 inlay pattern. This banjo was built as a real "Truetone" and is NOT a retro-fit model. This is the same banjo that is featured on the Huber website: http://www.huberbanjos.com/vrb-75/ so you can get a really good look at it when it was new. The only change from the website photos is the "speed neck" I had done this past Summer. Everything else is exactly as shown in the Huber photos. In excellent condition, it does have a couple of scuff marks on the top edge of the resonator and one tiny scratch on the back of the reso....All shown in my photos. Comes with original hardshell case and all paperwork including warranty card. This banjo is a true Tone Monster. It is very powerful with that hollow, prewar flathead sound. It is as close as you can get to this most coveted sound for under $50,000. In my opinion, Steve Huber hit a Grand Slam when he combined the Engeneered rim with the HR-30 ring and the ONLY reason I am offering this banjo for sale is because I recently located a prewar flathead and need to raise funds. As with any professional quality instrument, I feel a person needs to play this banjo for a day or two, so I am offering a 48 hour "trial period." If within the first two days after receiving it you decide you don't want it (highly unlikely) send it back in the original condition and I will refund all of your money (less any shipping costs or Paypal fees that I may have incurred). Again, I emphasize the superior quality and tonality of this original Huber Truetone and if you are considering a new Huber Truetone, the cost will be around $5,300 and will required a wait (I am told) of Six Months to One Year. Thank you for looking and please email me if you have any questions. Allen Fisher
