Nice, new "A" scale banjo from Noel Booth of Old Fiddle Road Banjo Works. Great sounding banjo for playing in A or D, and it's still long enough to tune down to G or C (particularly if you use medium gauge strings). The rim is finished with Tavern green milk paint under oil (a finish common on a lots of early American furniture), so this little banjo should feel right at home at the local pub for jam sessions. The painted rim also shows of the beauty of the Mahogany neck and dowel stick. Pegheds tuners (look like friction fiddle pegs, work just like 4 to 1 planetary pegs) keep it nice and light and give it an understated vintage look. Super comfortable to play--so compact, it'll even fit in a tenor banjo case.
