Hello Banjo Lovers,
My name is Kelly Emerson (Bill Emerson's son) and I announced over a year ago that I would be producing the EMERSON POWER BANJO. Each banjo will be made one at a time and then be offered for sale. They will all be uniquely different and originally custom. I will only be making one banjo each year. They will all be striking in beauty and come loaded with high performance parts/accessories. I will try my best to make them affordable for the buyer. This banjo is my first offering. I've gone through several prototype stages and this is the result of my efforts. I consider this to be a used banjo because I've been playing and tweeking it for the past six months. I've experimented with different tone rings and settled with a HUBER tone ring. I've added mini railroad spikes for the keys of A, B, C, D & E. The setup on this banjo is perfect and it rings nicely with lots of bells (ringing banjo terminology). The resonator is absolutely beautiful as shown in the pictures. Not much more to say. I hope that these will end up being collectors because I'm 50 years old and I will probably only make them for the next 20 to 25 years. This will most likely be the most valuable banjo in the collection as it is the first one produced. Again they will all be individual and uniquely different from one another. The banjos will be numbered and signed by myself for authenticity. I hope that this first jewel will find a worthy home as it so rightly deserves. This banjo does come with a case as well. Note: there is a small split in the trust rod cover as shown in the picture......I have since repaired that and no split is now evident. Feel free to ask any questions.
