This is a great sounding banjo and maybe one of the loudest I have ever played. The HR-30 tone ring sounds amazing in the banjo. 12" radius fret board Crisp Maple with a brilliant full bodied tone, deep bass, brilliant highs, The Saratoga Star is one of the most elegantly beautiful modern banjos to enter the musical arena of classic instruments. Greg Deering personally designed the inlays with an Art Nouveau style in mind. Reminiscent of the Victorian Era, this high grade maple banjo stands out as a top of the line professional instrument, at home on the concert stages throughout the world. It is played by world renowned banjoists like Bela Fleck, 2007 IBMA Banjo Player of the Year - Tony Trischka, Joe Bonsal of the Oak Ridge Boys, and Ned Luberecki. You From Bluegrass to Country, Rock to Classical, this is one of the ultimate banjos made today. Crafted with the precision of every Tenbrooks banjo out of highly figured violin grade maple for the ultimate tonal power and sparkle. It is so alive with sound that you can feel the vibrations through the back of the banjo as you play. The sound carries clearly greater distances than other banjos. This banjo is for the dedicated musician who appreciates versatility in communicating with the audience through music.

This is a all mahogany (neck, resonator, and rim) toptension style banjo. It's sounds as good as it looks. This banjo has beautiful engraving and gold hardware. There is a little bit of wear on the armrest. This banjo has loud tone and is really great for traditional bluegrass and more progressive acoustic music as well. This is one of the most comfortable and easiest banjos I have ever played. I really like this banjo but I needed a car. So, I am selling it to help with that. Feel free to contact me if you want to give it a "test drive".

I'm selling my Bacon Blue Ribbon, made for Frank Bradbury. It has an 11.5'' head and sounds killer. I currently have a Renaissance head installed. It's in excellent condition and was recently refretted by Bob Smakula. Due to the refret the binding has some cracking, but it all original and solidly attached to the neck. No other blemishes to mention, and it comes with the original case and pop-in resonator. Serious offers considered and photos upon request.

For Sale: Nechville Geometric - $1,400 USD

Have a Nechville Geometric that has been in the closet for a while. It's a late 90's model in very good condition. There's hardly a scratch on it; the only minor problem is a missing 5th string peg (still has an A peg) and had some fret buzz once, which Janet Davis Music fixed by adding an upsidedown crescent shaped bridge. Its a maple banjo and comes with all the special Nechville tools and instruction booklet. It has a great sound, better than most other professional banjos Ive played around. If not familiar with Nechville check out their website for details, Nechville redefined banjos by their helimount system which makes them lighter and easier to work on. Im pricing this to sell at $1400 or obo, (check out shipping details). Comes with a well padded TKL case. Cheers!

HI, AND THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY AD. I HAVE HERE A VERY NICE DEERING GOODTIME 2 5 STRING RESONATOR BANJO, AND NEW DEERING PLUSH CASE. I WENT THROUGH THE BANJO, AND CLEANED, AND POLISHED THE METAL PARTS, AND SET IT UP WITH NEW STRINGS, AND ONE OF MY 100 YEAR OLD BARNWOOD SPILLWAY DAM BANJO BRIDGES. IT WASN'T ON THE BANJO WHEN I TOOK THE PICTURES, BUT IT WILL COME WITH EITHER A REGULAR OLD BARNWOOD BRIDGE, OR I CAN PUT A CLAWHAMMER SPECIAL BANJO BRIDGE WITH RAISED 5TH STRING IF YOU ARE A CLAWHAMMER PLAYER. THE BANJO HAS SOME PLAY WEAR ON THE HEAD, BUT OTHERWISE LOOKS LIKE NEW, AND THE CASE IS A BRAND NEW DEERING PLUSH LINED CASE. IT LOOKS GOOD, PLAYS NICE, AND SOUNDS GOOD, WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT IN A BANJO, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE JUST STARTING OUT, OR NEED A GOOD STANDBY BANJO FOR WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE THE EXPENSIVE ONE OUT TO A GIG.

HI, AND THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY AD. I HAVE HERE A NICE LITTLE 5 STRING RESONATOR BANJO THAT I JUST FINISHED PUTTING TOGETHER, AND I THINK IT CAME OUT REAL NICE, AND HAS A GOOD TONE. THE HEART OF THE BANJO IS A DEERING BOSTON POT ASSEMBLY WHICH I PUT A CUSTOM NECK ON. IT HAS A RARE PRESTO TYPE TAILPIECE WITH AN ADJUSTMENT SCREW FOR TENSION, AND NEW REMO WEATHERKING HEAD, AND NEW GEARED TUNERS ALL AROUND. I PUT ONE OF MY BIG FOOT BANJO BRIDGES ON IT, AND IT REALLY HAS A NICE SOUND WITH IT. THE RESONATOR HAS SOME RASH ON THE BACK, BUT NOT THAT NOTICEABLE. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT BEGINNER BANJO, OR A NICE ONE TO THROW IN THE BACK OF THE CAR FOR TRIPS, OR TO TAKE GIGGING, WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE YOUR EXPENSIVE BANJO. IT'S SET UP WELL, AND PLAYS NICE.

For Sale: 2015 Huber Workhorse - $2,100 USD

The "Workhorse" is Huber's version of a down and dirty banjo, no frills but a good-looking, great-sounding instrument, with a Mahogany Neck and Resonator, Red Brass Tone Ring and 3-ply Maple Rim. The resonator has a slight blemish in the finish that is barely noticeable and is not detectable in the photos. Includes hardshell case. I bought it last July brand new from Janet Davis Music and there's nothing I don't like about it. I just have too many banjos and am trying to down-size so they all don't collect too much dust. A new one lists for around $2695. To hear this banjo on YouTube search "bluegrass jam Nine Pound Hammer and I'll fly Away on Huber by JDMS staff" Call me for other information at (828) 691-6179.

For sell is an excellent condition 1998 Gibson RB-12. Super banjo in every respect. Both wood and metal finish are in excellent condition.....does not resemble a 28 (make that 18.....my bad math!) year old banjo at all. Radius neck is super easy to play and although the banjo has had some play, frets are in like new condition. Spikes at 7 & 9 and will ship in original "The Gibson" case, in like condition. Sorry, Strap not included. The tone of this banjo is excellent and power is absolutely second to none. I acquired this banjo in a trade so I cannot speak to the history of the banjo for sure other than that which was given to me by the "trader". Please note all photos and ask for more if there is anything else you'd want to see. I've kind of struggled in pricing this banjo given the condition, rarity, etc. I'll just take offers and will also consider trades.....please feel free to contact and we'll talk. Sorry about the side ways pictures......figuring out new PC....UGGHHH! thanks for looking!

Very rare Gibson EPB-150 Electric Banjo with original Geib hardshell case. This was made either in 1938 or 1939. Gibson made only 25 of this model. Sounds great, rare 4 pole Charlie Christian pickup. Serial #35. Originally an export model as "Made in USA" is stamped on back of headstock. When I obtained the banjo, it had two cracks in the top from dryness that I immediately had repaired professionally by Joe Glaser. You can see the two cleats on the underside in the pics with the back off. Thanks for looking, please message me if you have any questions. Photos: drive.google.com/folderview?id...p=sharing

Fender FB-54 5 String...I bought this banjo in 1998 at Del City Music in Del City, Oklahoma. It is in very good condition and would be great as a Beginner Banjo. Original Fender case included. I recently bought a Lakota (Non-Cradle) strap for it and will throw the strap in on the sale. Strap was $60.00 and is less than a month old and is made out of Bison Hide...super soft!! I did cut some of the excess strap off after I fitted it to the length I needed. Thanks for looking...Picker54

For Sale: 2009 OME Sweetgrass 12 - $2,100 USD

For sale is this lovely 12" Sweetgrass, from the Ome Professional series. The Silverspun tonering provides plenty of power and clucky snap while the 12" pot and mahogany neck add depth and warmth. It is a fantastic combination and as always with Ome, the attention to detail in wood selection and fit-and-finish is extraordinary. It has been very lightly played and remains in mint condition. The banjo is setup with a birch Purcell "old stairs" bridge. The OME Harp tailpiece and nickel arm rest are original to this banjo. Also included is a Superior hardshell case. I have to be honest and say that I don't like the way that these case fit because the headstock tip contacts the top of the case, but these are what OME uses. Its fine for closet storage and will be secure for shipping, but I recommend that you budget an additional $200 for a TKL or Canadian case if you plan to take this banjo out of the house much. I will also include a very nice Boulder Alpine Series gig bag for you to use which is well padded yet light and easy to carry to festivals, etc. Also included are 2 sets of OME medium strings. Finally, I will also include an OME Sweetone tailpiece if you want to experiment with it, but note that the pivot points on the Sweetone are differently spaced then on the Harp and that this banjo was factory set for the Harp. I think it can be easily adapted by a pro luthier, I never bothered with it. Total Package: 2009 OME 12" Sweetgrass Open Back Banjo ($3650) Superior hardshell Case ($150) Boulder Alpine Series Gig Bag ($65) Sweetone Tailpiece ($45) 2 sets of OME medium strings ($18) ASKING PRICE: $2100 which includes shipping to anywhere within Canada and CONUS. The banjo ships from Fredericton, NB, Canada. I have considerable experience shipping to the USA so please don't let this deter you from buying this superb banjo. Contact me to discuss. Thanks Gord
