Up for trade is a Gibson copy Top Tension. The banjo has a Burlile top tension hoop and bolts, RK one piece flange, Cox rim, RK 20 hole tonering(which sounds awesome with the cox rim). The neck and resonater are both flamed maple with sunburst finish. The neck was made in 1974 , but refinished and totally refretted by Clancy Mullins . Clancy Mullins made the resonater, which is just like the old Top Tensions, with contoured back and flat surface on inside of resonater. The neck has beautiful inlay and it has a flat neck , which I prefer. The arm rest is not typical of a top tension . It is basically a normal one arm tailpiece that has been professionally finished with holes allowing access to the top tension bolts. IMO it makes more sense than the originals, and is very comfortable. The tuners are old pancake tuners from an old rb100. Clancy Mullins refinished the neck to match the resonater in beautiful flamed maple sunburst finish. This banjo was assembled by Clancy Mullins and it sounds awesome. Powerful, clear, loud, with great note seperation. I love this banjo, just always trying something different. If your interested in a trade let me know what you have .
